The event took place at the Leslie Phillips Theater, where eleven women competed for the titles by answering interview questions and showcasing their talents and knowledge. Taylor Volmrich was crowned Miss Western Massachusetts, and Ashley Terron was crowned Miss Pioneer Valley.
"The girls are extremely inspiring, they're wonderful. They put their heart and soul into it, and it's just amazing to go and watch them up on stage," said Kara Wood, a volunteer for the Miss Western Massachusetts Scholarship Competition.
The competition was supported by the Jeffrey Speller Foundation 4 Change, which was founded by 22News Anchor Ciara Speller and her mother.
