EAST LANSING – It was a homecoming to forget for Michigan State.
The Spartans (3-3, 0-3 Big Ten) lost 38-13 to UCLA (2-4, 2-1) on Saturday for their third straight defeat .

– It can always get worse but what Michigan State put together for 60 minutes on Saturday should be a brutal film review. An early 7-0 lead was followed by giving up 38 straight points, the last of which were scored after most of the 72,109 fans were gone.
UCLA rode the wave of its upset against Penn State all the way to East Lansing and was the better prepared, more motivated team that executed under an interim coach. Jonathan Smith is only midway through his second season leading the Spartans but 8-10 in that span as fans get restless.
