Manchester United have ruled out the possibility of replacing head coach Ruben Amorim with England boss Thomas Tuchel, according to reports.

Tuchel was strongly linked with the manager’s job at Old Trafford when Erik ten Hag was sacked but United ended up appointing Amorim instead.

With the United role off the table, Tuchel took charge of the Three Lions, replacing Gareth Southgate ahead of the World Cup next year.

It had been rumoured United were once again looking at Tuchel but The Sun have reported he is not under consideration if the club sack Amorim.

Speaking last year, football presenter Laura Woods branded Tuchel a ‘maverick’ and claimed he’d be ‘perfect’ to manage United.
