A Shenandoah County man is accused of having a gun while intoxicated at a high school football game on Oct. 3.

The Sheriff’s Office received a report on Oct. 3 that a man attending a football game at Central High School was in possession of a firearm, according to a news release.

Deputies made contact with the man, identified as James Michael McCabe II, 34, of Woodstock, and determined that he possessed a firearm. Deputies also determined that McCabe was under the influence of alcohol.

Deputies took McCabe into custody. He was taken before a magistrate where deputies obtained and served arrest warrants charging McCabe with possession of a firearm, stun weapon or other weapon on school property as prohibited, and public intoxication.
