SALT LAKE CITY — The Grand County Sheriff’s Office rescued two individuals after their vehicle was caught in a muddy creek bed as water levels rose on Friday night.

According to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Grand County Dispatch was contacted by two individuals after their vehicle had become caught in a creek bed as waters around them rose due to the recent rainfall.

According to the post, multiple Grand County public agencies, including the Grand County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, State Rangers and Grand County EMS joined the Grand County Sheriff’s Deputies to rescue the individuals.

“Please use extreme caution,” the Facebook post reads, “as the area has experienced large amounts of rain leading to flooding and muddy conditions.”
