SALT LAKE CITY — For the first time this season, both Utah and BYU football find themselves in the AP Top 25 college football poll.

It’s fitting that this would happen right before the week eight rivalry matchup in LaVell Edwards Stadium.

The Utes returned to Rice-Eccles after a bye week to host the No. 21 Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday.

ASU didn’t have its starting quarterback, but Sam Leavitt wouldn’t have had much of an impact on the 279 rushing yards that Utah posted. They averaged seven yards per rush, and all six of their touchdowns came on the ground.
