A strong cold front looks to arrive around Sunday, October 19, bringing the chance for a few thunderstorms as it moves through Arkansas. At this point, there’s still a lot of uncertainty in terms of timing and how strong these storms might be, but it’s something worth keeping an eye on as we head through the week.

Behind the front, cooler air settles in across the state, dropping temperatures closer to where we should be for mid-October. After several days in the upper 80s, highs are expected to fall back into the upper 70s early next week, giving us a much more seasonal feel.

We’ll fine-tune the timing and storm details in the days ahead. Stay tuned to the Arkansas Storm Team for the latest updates as this system develops.
