A well-known West Lothian couple have celebrated their diamond anniversary after 60 years together.

Thomas and Doria Weir (nee Mori) recently celebrated their milestone anniversary and were visited by both the Lord-Lieutenant of West Lothian and the depute Provost to commemorate their achievement.

Doria is originally from Barga in Tuscany, but moved to Scotland in 1956 at just 20-years-old to work in Serafini’s café/chip shop on George Street, reports The West Lothian Courier.

She met Thomas, who worked in British Leyland at the time, at the Pallais while out dancing - and they've been together ever since!

After they married, Thomas moved from Fauldhouse to Bathgate and the pair settled down and lived in Academy Street. They were married in St Mary’s in Bathgate and still stay in the
