KAHOKA, Mo. (WGEM) - The 34th annual Parade of Champions marched through Kahoka Saturday afternoon.

“This is a longstanding tradition in Clark County,” said Ardith Harmon, president of Fine Arts Boosters. “It gives them an opportunity to showcase their talents.”

The parade began at 2 p.m., with over 20 high school and middle school marching bands from Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois participating.

“Most of the bands start practicing in August,” said Harmon.

Various famous pieces were performed from all bands in the parade.

The parade is also a fundraiser to support Clark County marching band activities.

While the Clark County community comes together to show support for the marching bands, they also give back.
