NEW YORK (PIX11) — Lengthy ground delays have been reported at all three New York area airports on Sunday, according to the FAA.
Ground delays are in effect due to low ceiling, which reduces visibility in the air.
Departures at John F Kennedy Airport and LaGuardia Airport are facing an average delay of up to an hour and 40 minutes.
Departures at Newark International Airport have an average delay of an hour and 20 minutes.
Travelers should check with their airlines for updates.
