AMADO, Ariz. (KVOA) - An early morning crash on October 12 sent two Tucson residents to the hospital after their vehicle veered off Arivaca Highway.
Santa Rita Fire District crews responded to mile marker 19 around 2 a.m. where they found a Honda Accord that had lost control and skidded off the road, striking several trees before coming to rest 30 feet north of the roadway.
The driver, a man in his 30s, suffered minor injuries, while the passenger, a woman in her 30s, sustained serious injuries. Both were transported to a local trauma center for further treatment.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
