TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Thousands of people gathered at Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa over the weekend for the 16th annual Oktoberfest celebration, bringing a slice of German culture to our area.

"It is so much fun, we have everything for you do to. This is all about coming together and celebrating German culture," said Nicol Winkler, the organizer.

The event includes German food and beers, and games similar to the popular event overseas.

"We want to make this as German as possible! Everything you can find is just like the actual event," said Winkler.

The cost of the event is $10 for a general entry. Music and events will last until 6pm Sunday.
