FARGO — Staples-Motley’s Ronnie Noska and Wadena-Deer Creek’s Anna Fiemeyer and Kaylee Endres are going back to the state tournament.

Noska captured the Section 8-1A singles title, while Fiemeyer-Endres claimed the doubles title Saturday, Oct. 11.

Noska had little trouble advancing to the Class 1A State Tournament as she posted a 6-1, 6-1 semifinal victory over Park Rapids’ MaKenna Maanum. She then topped Haley Larson of Park Rapids in the championship match 6-0, 6-1.

This will be the fourth individual state tournament for Noska, who advanced as a singles player last year and as an eighth-grader. She played in the doubles tournament her freshman year. Last year, Noska advanced to the consolation championship match.
