BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A bill co-sponsored by U.S. Senators Kevin Cramer (R-ND) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) has passed in the Senate and will now advance to the House of Representatives.
The bill "Honoring Our Fallen Heroes Act of 2025" extends benefits from the Public Safety Officers’ Benefits (PSOB) program to the families of all first responders impacted by exposure-related cancers. The program was previously granted to first responders who had given their lives in service on 9/11.
