A month on from one of the great days in the Quirindi Lions' long history, Ed Nankivell still radiated an afterglow.

Surrounded by family and friends at the Lions' clubhouse on a sunny spring afternoon, Quirindi's president presided over a presentation day made significantly more special given 2025 marked the end of a 33-year first-grade premiership drought.

The 57-36 away win over Moree was also notable for the high-calibre manner in which it was achieved and the totally unrestrained celebration it unleashed.
