Vancouver Canucks defenceman Tyler Myers found himself in a 1-on-1 defending confrontation midway thorough the third period of Saturday’s meeting at Rogers Place. McDavid was at full speed, and when he moved down the left flank toward the Canucks’ net, Myers pivoted to confront him. He lifted his stick between the legs of the Oilers captain and speared him where it hurts the most.
McDavid dropped to the ice in discomfort but got up and kept playing in what would be a 3-1 Edmonton triumph. Article content
