DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) -- Two people were hurt after being hit by a car near the Meijer gas station in Danville, authorities said.

The Danville Police Department said the pedestrians were struck by a car around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Both victims were brought to a medical facility for their injuries, police said.

Authorities were unable to confirm the status of the victims' injuries or whether any arrests had been made. The Danville Police Department said the incident is under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
