The Cleveland Browns chances of mounting a comeback in the fourth quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers has taken a couple of bumps because of injuries. OT Jack Conklin was ruled out due to a concussion early in the fourth quarter. A few plays later, TE David Njoku limped off the field and then was seen walking to the locker room gingerly.
The Browns tight end seemed to grab his knee as he was headed to the sideline and was ruled questionable to return as he reached the locker room. The team announced that Njoku had a thigh injury.
At the time of his departure, Njoku had been targeted six times, coming up with three receptions for 28 yards. Rookie TE Harold Fannin Jr. will take on the primary load at tight end, having been targeted six times as well when Njoku went down.
