ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- The Opelousas Police Department is currently investigating a homicide.

Officials said the incident occurred in the 1000 block of Hashim Street, located off George Drive.

Police are actively working the scene and gathering information related to the incident. More details will be released as they become available.
