Coronation Street has offered some reassurance to fans of Lisa Swain and Carla Connor as their partnership continues to be rocked by the shock arrival of Becky Swain.

Fans of the ITV soap have been rooting for the couple, affectionately known as Swarla, since they finally gave into their feelings for one another towards the end of last year.

As summer came to a close, things were looking up for Carla and Lisa after a difficult start to their relationship as they moved into their first family home together alongside Carla's nephew Ryan Connor and Lisa's daughter Betsy Swain.
