DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – People came together to fight food insecurity both locally and globally this Sunday.

The Dayton Area CROP Hunger Walk was an interfaith event held on Oct. 12 at Shiloh Church.

It was one of many CROP walks throughout America. These walks support the international relief programs of Church World Service, which aims to alleviate poverty and end hunger.

The 2024 walks raised over $16k between 25 churches.

“[We] are once again honored to be the host site for the Dayton Area CROP Hunger Walk,” said Shiloh Church’s Sue Cox. “At a time when food insecurity is an issue both here and abroad… all of us must do our part to raise funds to feed those in need.”

There was live music, a photo station and activities for kids.
