The show was co-created by Zach Kanin and Tim Robinson, with the latter also playing the protagonist, Ron Trosper. The co-creators previously worked together on the sitcom Detroiters and the sketch comedy I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson .

After an embarrassing incident at his job, Ron finds himself investigating a massive conspiracy.
