Boy racers are staging a car meet on a Tesco car park tonight. Angry residents say the car meets happen at Longton Tesco every Sunday night.

But they say Staffordshire Police and Stoke-on-Trent City Council have failed to come up with a permanent solution to stop the meet-ups and the Tesco car park barriers remain up - despite the supermarket being shut.

One StokeonTrentLive reader said: "This issue has been a major issue to local residents for nearly 10 years. It is utter madness and I am personally spending yet another evening listening to my local streets being used as a race track."

StokeonTrentLive has approached Staffordshire Police, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, and Tesco for statements regarding the latest car meet.
