KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Chiefs starting left tackle Josh Simmons is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Detroit Tigers.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Simmons is dealing with a family matter in his hometown of San Diego, California. He's unlikely to be back in time for kickoff, according to reports.
Offseason acquisition Jaylon Moore is likely to start in Simmons' stead. KC signed Moore to a two-year $30 million deal the past offseason.
The nature of Simmons' personal matter is unknown at this time, but the rookie offensive lineman deactivated his Instagram account in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Chiefs will look to get back to .500 Sunday evening against the Detroit Tigers at 7:20 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
