(KBTX) - The Texas A&M football team moved up one position to No. 4 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 after beating Florida 34-17 in Kyle Field Saturday.

The Aggies (6-0, 3-0) hopped previous No. 4 Ole Miss (6-0, 3-0) who narrowly beat Washington State (3-3), 24-21, Saturday. It marks the first time since A&M joined the Southeastern Conference that the Aggies are the highest-ranked team in the SEC.

However, previous No. 7 Indiana (6-0) moved past A&M to No. 3 after taking down previous No. 3 Oregon 30-20 Saturday in Eugene.

The Aggies also sit at No. 4 in the USA Today Coaches Poll .

It is the 84th week the Aggies have been ranked in the top 5 all time, last coming in at No. 4 during the 2020 season. A&M earned that No. 4 ranking after defeating North Carolina in the Orange Bo
