The ongoing push to build a new modernized Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital in Picton has been given a big financial boost to help the project now under way reach completion.

A grant of $600,000 has been earmarked for the hospital build by the RBC Foundation Community Infrastructure Fund for 2025.

The hospital project now underway is one of 44 community efforts to receive $15.62 million in multi- and single-year grants, said RBC Foundation.

The Community Infrastructure Fund supports capital projects aimed at reducing environmental impact and improving accessibility in public spaces across Canada.
