BIG SANDY, Texas — Thirty years ago, Big Sandy's Circle M Crawfish started out of a trailer. This was the original menu: crawfish, shrimp, hot tamales, corn and potatoes.

"We just kind of added as we went along," original owner Rodney Murphy said.

Murphy was at the restaurant Saturday as the business celebrated its 30th anniversary with live music, vendors and even pony rides for kids. Much more than a trailer, Circle M Crawfish now features expansive seating, pool tables and an arcade.

Both the business and the menu have come a long way. And while the list of what you can order has grown significantly over the years, those familiar staples like crawfish and corn remain as popular as ever.
