CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In the wake of the deadly blast at an explosives plant in Tennessee, Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) is deploying crisis-trained chaplains to the area.

Authorities said the explosion killed 16 people and left no survivors.

The chaplains will be there to "provide emotional and spiritual care" for first responders and families of the plant workers.

“The images coming out of the explosion in Tennessee are devastating. Our hearts break for all the families of those who were working in the plant at the time of the tragedy,” Josh Holland, international director of BG-RRT said.
