A Chattanooga man is facing an array of charges after officers pursued him as he rode a stolen bicycle on Brainerd Road.

A man who had noticed the air tag on his bicycle moving away from his home called police Saturday afternoon, according to an arrest report obtained by Local 3 News.

The tracker showed that the bicycle was moving along Lee Highway until it reached N Howell Avenue.

As police patrolled the area, they saw 22-year-old Jeremiah Lewis riding the bicycle heading westbound on Brainerd Road.

When they attempted to stop the suspect, him and "an unknown associate" attempted to flee the area on bikes.

Officers focused on tracking down Lewis, following him for quite some time until he over corrected in an attempt to evade officers and lay the bike down on its side.
