The Inner Circle's Amanda Holden has been left nursing a "swollen and infected" hand after an unfortunate incident at her home.

The 54 year old presenter returned to Heart Radio this week, sharing the tale of how she was injured while trying to break up a fight between her 15 year old cat, Muffy, and her new rescue pet from Corfu.

As the opening credits rolled on her and Jamie Theakston's Breakfast show, her co-host informed listeners: "We've had a little bit of an emergency overnight," before inviting Amanda to share what had transpired.
