NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Aquarium of Niagara celebrated Deaf Culture Awareness Weekend with a series of activities designed to make the experience more accessible and inclusive for visitors.
The weekend featured American Sign Language-interpreted presentations, animal feedings, guided tours, and story times. Children attending the event showed particular interest in learning how to sign the names of specific animals and fish, making the experience both educational and engaging.
