ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- One of Tompkins County’s most beloved community events is back this month. The Friends of Tompkins County Public Library’s annual Fall Book Sale kicked off on Saturday and runs over three long weekends through October 28.

The sale features more than 250,000 gently used books, DVDs, CDs, games, and puzzles, all organized into more than 70 subject categories. Prices start low and drop each weekend.

Shoppers will also find a large children’s section and a “Collector’s Corner” with rare books, first editions, vinyl records, and other unique finds.

Sale hours are 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on all other sale days. Free parking is available across the street.
