RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Human Bean is set to host its annual Coffee for a Cure fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 17. During the one-day event, 100% of proceeds and tips will be donated to Community Health Alliance to fund breast cancer screenings and navigation services for uninsured and underinsured women across Northern Nevada.

“Early detection saves lives,” said Maria Partida, cancer care coordinator at Community Health Alliance. “Because of The Human Bean’s generosity and our community’s support, more than 500 women were able to complete their breast cancer screenings last year. These efforts help ensure that every woman, regardless of income or insurance status, has access to life-saving care.”
