EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — Two people suffered serious injuries in a head-on collision on the Atlantic City Expressway on Sunday afternoon.

At around 3:03 p.m., State Police responded to a crash at mile post 9.8 on the expressway.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Enrique Valasquez, 39, of Brighton, Tennessee, lost control of his Honda Passenger eastbound on the expressway and became disabled in the lane facing west, police said.

Vladimir Valery, 49, of Berlin, Camden County, was driving his Chevrolet SUV east on the expressway when he collided head-on with the Honda.
