BOZEMAN — Against a team that quieted the run its previous two games, Montana State provided a loud flashback to its previous three seasons.
The No. 5-ranked Bobcats (5-2, 3-0 Big Sky) rushed for 384 yards in their 48-14 win over Idaho State (2-5, 1-2) Saturday at Bobcat Stadium. It's the most rushing yards in a game for MSU since 511 against Sacramento State last November.
MSU, which averaged about 300 rushing yards per game on nearly 7 yards per carry the previous three years, averaged 7.6 yards per rush Saturday. Adam Jones ran for 173, the most for a Bobcat since Jones’ 197 in last season’s Brawl of the Wild.
ISU held Northern Colorado to 30 rushing yards on 1.1 yards per carry two weeks ago and limited Montana to 118 on 3.4 last week.
