There's still a week left in the regular season with conference implications left in Northwest Indiana, but local teams learned their postseason journeys before the regular season concludes Friday night.

The IHSAA revealed sectional draws Sunday night, setting up first round matchups across the state. Sectionals for Class 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A will kick off Oct. 24. Class 5A and 6A will start sectional play Oct. 31, following an off week.

Undefeated Crown Point will begin its postseason dreams with Lake Central in Class 6A Sectional 1. On the other side of the bracket, Portage plays Penn.

Class 5A Sectional 10 is sure to see some fireworks. Chesterton will host LaPorte, while on the other side of the bracket, prospective Duneland Athletic Conference champion Michigan City is traveling to Va
