The Armidale Ezidi community has written to Federal Home Affairs Minister, Tony Burke, expressing "deep concern and distress" regarding the reports of potential plans to repatriate ISIS-affiliated women and children from Syria to Australia.

"As survivors of the 2014 Ezidi Genocide committed by ISIS, our community continues to carry the deep scars of unimaginable violence, loss, and trauma," Salam Qaro said, writing on behalf of the Ezidi (Yazidi) community across New South Wales.

"Many of those now living in Australia have lost family members, endured torture, and experienced forced displacement due to the brutal actions of ISIS fighters and their supporters-including women who actively participated or facilitated these crimes.
