Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) revealed that he invited Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to sit in on House committees debating the Obamacare subsidies, a decision that follows Greene’s split from the GOP over the expiring tax credits.
Greene penned a blistering statement last week in support of extending the subsidies that are set to expire at the end of the year and which are at the center of the government shutdown stalemate, bucking her own party leadership. Johnson sought to tamp down the criticism from Greene at the time, saying she simply hadn’t been filled in as those discussions take place in specific committees.
