NEW HOME, Texas (KCBD) - The New Home Leopards (5-1) are the End Zone Team of the Week after defeating Abernathy in shutout fashion 39-0 to open up district play 1-0 Friday night!

The Leopards opened up the 2025 season with a 49-7 loss against Lubbock-Cooper Liberty but since then have gone on to win five straight games. New Home has beaten Ropes 28-14, Muleshoe 34-14, Denver City 48-14, and now a shutout victory over Abernathy.

The Leopards have tallied 179 points on offense since Week 2, and that is thanks to the “everybody eats” mentality from the offense that have only allowed a total of 45 points, 17 in the last three games, thanks to the Leopard defense.
