KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch sparked a minor postgame brawl following a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night.

After Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took the final knee of the game in a 30-17 Chiefs victory, players from both teams began to meet for postgame handshakes. Branch brushed past Mahomes, who was trying to shake Branch’s hand, and went right at Chiefs receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, taking an open-hand swipe at Schuster’s face.

Branch’s slap knocked Smith-Schuster over, resulting in Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco engaging with Branch as Smith-Schuster charged back in.
