Title: Search for Missing Boy Gus Lamont to Resume in South Australia

Authorities in South Australia are set to resume the search for four-year-old Gus Lamont, who has been missing since September 27. The search will begin tomorrow and will cover an expanded area beyond the zones previously searched. This decision comes after an extensive six-day search earlier this month yielded no results.

Gus was last seen around 5 p.m. near his family's property, located approximately 40 kilometers south of Yunta. Following his disappearance, police and Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel conducted one of the largest search operations in the region. However, the search was called off after no trace of the boy was found.

On October 4, police returned to the Oak Park Station site to gather more information. They spent several hours interviewing family members and photographing the property. In a statement, police indicated that they would focus their efforts on a broader area during the upcoming search.

"The search will concentrate on an expanded area outside of the zone already searched extensively following Gus’s disappearance," police stated. They also noted that there has been ongoing communication with the Lamont family, who are actively assisting in the investigation.

Authorities have emphasized that all evidence so far suggests that Gus's disappearance is not suspicious. The Lamont family expressed their devastation and distress over the situation, highlighting the emotional toll of their son's absence.

As the search resumes, police have indicated that all future updates will be provided from Adelaide, rather than the family's private property. The community remains hopeful for a positive outcome as the search efforts continue in the remote outback of South Australia.
