Scott Dobberstein wasn’t ready Wednesday to talk about his experience in Jerusalem on Sunday, but the native of Gary, Minn., said the terrorist attack he survived won’t scare him away from foreign service.

“It makes you stop and think, but no, it hasn’t changed my mind about being here,” says Dobberstein, 33, who is on a two-year assignment in Israel as part of a U.S. government agency project that is helping to set up a housing development in the Gaza Strip.
