BLS International Services Share Price: BLS International Services Ltd shares tumbled over 17 per cent on Monday, hitting a 52-week low of Rs 277 on the BSE, after the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, barred the company from participating in future tenders of Indian Missions abroad for two years. At 9:25 AM, the stock was trading 14.4 per cent lower at Rs 288.65.
MEA directive and reasons
The MEA’s directive, issued on October 9 and communicated on October 10, cited “allegations, including court cases and applicant complaints,” as the basis for the debarment. The restriction, however, applies only to future tenders; existing contracts with Indian Missions will continue as scheduled.
