Comments from F1 paddock mainstays Guenther Steiner and Ralf Schumacher have lit fuel on the Oscar Piastri rumour mill, the two pundits going head to head with that they think the Australian should do.

Piastri's future at McLaren has been a topic of contention after the Singapore Grand Prix, where fans and paddock figures alike were angered by the Woking-based team's moves.

But although Schumacher thinks that Piastri "could go anywhere", specifically Red Bull, Steiner thinks the Australian "shouldn't be leaving" McLaren. Advertisement

"First of all, he's going to win the world championship this year, so that's why he should stay there," Steiner said of Piastri on the Red Flags podcast.
