Hamas has released the first group of seven hostages, the Israeli military confirmed on Monday in what marks a crucial step in the Gaza ceasefire and peace deal. The Red Cross is reported to have taken the seven hostages under its custody, and they are now on their way to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet forces in the Gaza Strip.
The seven released hostages have been identified as Gali and Ziv Berman, Matan Angrest, Alon Ohel, Omri Miran, Eitan Mor and Guy Gilboa-Dallal.
