Florida football will hope to get back in the win column for homecoming week.

The Gators (2-4, 0-3 SEC) will host Mississippi State (4-2, 0-2) at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 18. UF enters the matchup after falling to No. 5 Texas A&M, while the Bulldogs had an open week. Mississippi State started the season 4-0 but have dropped back-to-back games to start SEC play.

MSU quarterback Blake Shapen has thrown for 1,199 yards, nine touchdowns, four interceptions and has completed 66% of his passes. His top targets are wide receivers Brenen Thompson and Anthony Evans III, who have combined for 53 catches, 742 yards and six touchdowns. Running back Fluff Dowell leads the run game with 471 yards and six touchdowns.
