Russia has officially denied reports that its submarine 'Novorossiysk' faced technical issues after it surfaced off northern France's coast.

According to NATO, the French navy observed the Russian submarine operating on the surface near Brittany. The alliance pledged its continued maritime vigilance across the Atlantic.

Speculation arose from the VChK-OGPU Telegram channel, which claimed the submarine had a fuel leak. However, Russian state media released a statement from the Black Sea Fleet, asserting the surfacing was part of a scheduled transit under international navigation regulations.
