Curt Olson will demonstrate color pencil techniques at the Monroe Art League meeting on Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Olson, an accomplished artist, has a background in education and art, according to a community announcement. He earned his bachelor's in fine arts and master's in education from Eastern Michigan University.
Olson taught art for more than 32 years in Royal Oak and Summerfield schools, working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. He has been a member of the Bedford Artist Club for many years and joined the Toledo Potters Guild after retiring from teaching. Recently, Olson donated more than 20 bowls to the Empty Bowl Dinner fundraiser.
