COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State has given up 41 points this season and almost 40% of that came this past Saturday in a 34-16 win over Illinois. But Illini heads coach Bret Bielema thinks they should’ve scored more.
During his postgame press conference Bielema voiced his frustrations with his offense emphasizing the many mistakes they made early in the game. He felt the biggest mistake was that he waited too long to get to the one thing Illinois constantly had success with. In his mind, things could’ve played out differently had he done so.
“I actually wanted to go tempo the whole freaking game, because they couldn’t do ****with it,” Bielema said. “It seemed like when we went tempo, things really began to work our way. We just needed to go to it sooner.”
