BATHINDHA: A 55-year-old woman in Punjab ’s Barnala district died suddenly while dancing during Karva Chauth celebrations on Sunday evening. The incident took place in Tapa town, where Asha Rani, who had been fasting for her husband’s long life, collapsed on the dance floor just before the moon was sighted. According to relatives, she and other women from the neighbourhood had gathered to celebrate the occasion by dancing to Punjabi songs played on a DJ system.
